The Millers are a big part of our experience here in Asheville. Their 4-year-old daughter Phoebe has been recently diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type 1. Long story short, it is likely she will need multiple brain surgeries throughout her lifetime- beginning next month. Even with adequate insurance, tens of thousands of dollars will not be covered. We are helping with a fundraiser for her August 7th in the historic Kenilworth neighborhood. There will be a 5K/fun run, pancake breakfast, bluegrass bands and inflatable bouncy houses for the kids!
